Belt Tests
Belt Test Information
No regular classes on test night. Students are encouraged to spectate and assist. All students must wear the black traditional uniform and prepay for the test. Continue to view the welcome center for up-to-date information on belt tests. No one is permitted to enter the testing area after the test begins.
Requirements for Promotion
All students must have a basic knowledge of the Moo Duk Kwan style.
Lil Dragon 1st STRIPE TEST

- 4 Basic Stances (Ready Stance, Attention, Bow, Meditate)
- Name your master karate instructors
- Why are you not allowed to touch other friends when you practice karate?
- Why do you keep your hands in front of your body when you practice?
- Balance on each foot for 5 seconds
- Demonstrate a jab punch
- Demonstrate a round house kick (top of foot)
- Demonstrate a front snap kick (ball of foot)
- Demonstrate a single wrist grab
- Tell me a code word phrase you could use if a stranger tries to carry you away from your parents?

Lil Dragon 2nd STRIPE TEST

- Balance for 10 seconds on each foot
- Demonstrate a pivot round house kick
- Demonstrate a pivot side kick
- Demonstrate a pivot front snap kick
- Demonstrate a front choke hold release
- Demonstrate a rear choke hold release
- Demonstrate a forward and backward somersault
- Demonstrate a low block
- Demonstrate a center punch
- Demonstrate showing left extremities/right extremities
- No Hands! Lie on floor with hands folded in front of them stand up without using hands to assist
